Yay You're Engaged! Behind The Scenes Receiving Your Gown
Continued from our series…
Once you’ve ordered your dress, we keep a close eye on your order to ensue it will arrive within the expected time frame provided by your gown’s designer. Within 2-3 weeks after you purchase, your stylist will let you know the ETA of your gown, based on the time frame the designer confirms with us.
We’re bringing you behind-the-scenes to share what happens once we receive your gown from the designer! When your gown arrives at LWD, our experienced operations team completes a white glove inspection of your gown to ensure that your gown is in perfection condition, that it arrives in the correct size and color, and that any custom changes you ordered were executed flawlessly. We measure your gown’s length and sizing, and inspect your gown inside and out to ensure it is up to our high standards. Our operations team has extensive experience handling high-quality fabrics and garments, with years of experience in fashion operations.
After our operations team has completed the formal receiving process, we’ll place your gown safely in a high-quality wedding gown garment bag. At this time, your stylist will notify you that your gown has arrived and will schedule an appointment for you to come in and try on your gown for the first time! That first time you try on your own, made-for-you gown is SO exciting. It’s a great time to finalize details like how you might want to wear your hair on your wedding day, which shoes go best with your gown, and finalize decisions on your jewelry and accessories if you haven’t already.
Congratulations, you have your wedding dress!
