Questions?
We can help you with that.
How far in advance of my wedding should I shop for my wedding gown?
We recommend shopping for your wedding dress as soon as your wedding date and venue are confirmed. Most gowns take between four to six months to arrive from the date you order the dress and you’ll ideally want at least two to three months for the alterations process. To give yourself a stress-free experience and to avoid rush fees, we suggest choosing your wedding dress between nine months and a year before your wedding. If you have less than six months before your big day, we still have many options that can be ready in time for your wedding. Rush fees and availability depend on the designer. We also have a frequently-changing selection of sample gowns that can be purchased off the rack, which are great for brides who may not have time to order a made-to-order gown.
Do you have options in my budget?
We offer an incredible and high-quality selection of gowns in nearly every price range. Our made-to-order selection is priced from around $2,000 to $15,000. We also have a large selection of off-the-rack/sample sale gowns ranging from around $1,000 to $3,000. During your appointment, your bridal stylist will help you choose gowns to try on in a price range that you're comfortable with. We never push you to spend more than you want, and we treat every bride with the same pampering service.
What size are your gowns?
We don't believe in "one size fits all." The gowns at Little White Dress are in a wide variety of sizes, ranging from bridal size 6 to 28. We strongly believe that every bride should feel comfortable and have many beautiful options to try on when she's shopping for her wedding dress. Sample gowns (i.e. what you try on in-store) will rarely be a perfect fit, but our bridal stylists are experts at giving you a great idea of how the gown will fit when it's made in your own size.
Do you have a catalog of gowns?
Our current selection of gowns is shown at this link. Please note: this catalog does not include trunk show gowns, gowns currently on loan from designers, or our full selection of sample sale gowns. If you have your heart set on a certain gown from one of the designers we carry that is not shown here, please ask us! We may have it in store for a trunk show or the designer may be able to send a sample for you to try on.
How long is my appointment?
Wedding dress shopping appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes. This is usually the ideal amount of time to try on a variety of gowns, narrow down your selection, and choose your wedding dress without feeling rushed. Of course, if you feel you need more time, we're always happy to schedule a return visit!
How many guests can I bring with me to my appointment?
To ensure a wonderful and comfortable experience for all, we can accommodate up to four guests (plus the bride) maximum for each wedding dress appointment. If you would like to bring any additional guests, please contact us at info@lwdbridal.com prior to your appointment to discuss any options that may potentially be available in our VIP Suite (available for reservation with a $100 fee on a first-come, first-served basis) or during certain weekday hours. We require confirmation of your guest count at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
Feel free to bring pictures of gowns that inspire you. If you don't already have a vision of what you like, no worries - we'll help you figure out what you love! We encourage you to wear nude-colored underwear and/or any desired shapewear when trying on wedding dresses. We encourage you to eat before or after your visit with us as we do not allow food and beverages in the shop with the exception of water and clear liquids. Otherwise, bring yourself and the person or people you need with you to celebrate finding your wedding dress!
Do you have champagne or can I bring it?
Brides are welcome to bring champagne or white wine that is pre-poured in resealable containers such as travel mugs or tumblers with a lid. We offer travel wine/champagne tumblers for purchase to use with champagne/white wine that is brought by you or your guests, however we respectfully ask that beverages are uncorked and poured away from any gowns and carpeted areas. We are unable to accommodate food, coffee or other non-clear beverages in the building.
What is needed to order my gown?
To order your wedding dress, we require a 60% non-refundable deposit (cash, check or credit card). The remaining 40% is due within 10 days after you are notified that your wedding dress has arrived at LWD (typically 4-6 months after placing your deposit). When you place your deposit, we carefully measure you and discuss the best sizing to order for you. We also carefully review our Gown Purchase Contract and the invoice/order with you to ensure that everything is clear and correct. We keep you informed every step of your ordering process and are happy to answer any questions you may have at any time.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
As a courtesy, we request that any appointment changes or cancellations be made at least 48 hours in advance of the appointment. To change or cancel your appointment, please call us at 303-814-8972 or reply to your text confirmation to cancel. Please note that appointment fees are non-refundable; however if you are rescheduling your appointment we are happy to apply your appointment fee to the rescheduled appointment.
Will I need alterations?
Nearly all wedding gowns need alterations to ensure the ideal fit and length. Alterations vary from bride to bride and from gown to gown, and alterations costs are not included in the price of your wedding gown. There are many bridal alterations specialists in the Front Range area and we encourage brides to research options and select the alterations partner of their choice.
What are trunk shows?
Trunk shows are events that we frequently host where we highlight a particular designer's collection. Trunk shows are a great opportunity to see and try on much more of a designer’s collection than what we normally have in the shop. Special gifts and discounts are often offered during trunk shows. Plus, the designers and their expert stylists sometimes attend trunk shows, which makes for an unforgettable experience as you find your wedding dress! See all of our upcoming events >
What is Sample Sale/Off-the-Rack?
Sample sale gowns are sold as is, off the rack, and are a wonderful option for brides who don’t have 4-6 months for a new dress to be made, and/or for brides who want to wear a designer gown at a fraction of the original price. Our sample sale/off-the-rack selection is available year-round with an “Off-the-Rack Appointment” in a private, separate area of our building. We also hold special Flash Sale events 2-3 times to year, when sample sale gowns and accessories are available at deep discounts. Find out more about our Sample Sale selection >
