Create Your Custom Wedding Dress at Little White Dress

At Little White Dress we’re very proud to carry several designers who offer our brides the opportunity to customize their gowns to create the perfect wedding dress. We often get asked by our brides whether they’re able to add or remove sleeves, extend their train, or change their neckline. Usually, the answer is yes! In several cases, we’ve had brides opt for a custom fabric, color, silhouette, or embellishment - really, the sky’s the limit when it comes to what we can customize. We LOVE to work with our brides to create a truly custom creation specific to their style and taste. We’re excited to share a few examples of LWD Brides who customized their gowns! Some created an entirely new look by simply changing the color of their gown, while others changed countless elements designing a completely new gown for their wedding!

Austin’s Custom Claire Pettibone

Austin loved the Kristene gown as a starting point, and was excited at the opportunity to customize it. The bride immediately decided she wanted to add sleeves and wondered whether Claire Pettibone would be willing to flip the bodice around to make the back the front. Knowing Claire and her ability to execute custom changes flawlessly, we told her we could absolutely make that happen! Austin and her LWD stylist also decided the train would be even more incredible by extending it an extra two feet. Claire Pettibone herself told us she loved making this dress, and Austin’s gown was the inspiration for a long, incredible train in Claire’s brand new, yet-to-be-released collection.

Caitlin’s Custom Liancarlo

Caitlin created a custom Liancarlo gown by combining the top of a bridal jumpsuit with the bottom of a lace, sheath Liancarlo gown. She fell in love with the deep-v neckline that the jumpsuit offered but was hoping for a more traditional look that the sheath skirt provided. By combining the two, Caitlin’s dream wedding dress came to life for her summery Steamboat Springs wedding.

Paige’s Custom Galia Lahav

Paige fell in love with Gia by Galia Lahav but was dreaming of something with romantic straps. Paige worked with her stylist to help envision Gia with floral straps made from the laces already on her gown. The result? It looks like the strap was meant to be on this gown all along, and wasn’t an add-on or afterthought. So gorgeous!

Meg’s Custom Liancarlo

Meg came to Little White Dress specifically wanting a merlot colored dress for her elegant, formal vow renewal. In advance of her appointment, Meg worked with her stylist to bring in a variety of borrowed sample options from our designers’ evening wear lines for her to try on during her appointment. Meg fell in love with a Liancarlo evening wear gown that was the perfect combination of classic and unique for her wedding, and she customized it in the perfect rich merlot hue. The gown was custom-made to her measurements, and it fit like a glove when it arrived!
