Top LWD Weddings of 2013!
As 2013 comes to a close, we are reminiscing on a fabulous, busy, inspiring year at Little White Dress Bridal Shop. As always, so much of our inspiration to be our best and to work hard every day comes from our brides themselves. It is so rewarding to help every single bride find her own wedding gown, and the icing on the wedding cake for us is to see photos from our brides' special day. Seeing how her vision comes together and how the gown fits into and often informs that vision always makes us smile. In 2013 we saw so many absolutely beautiful, unique, and touching weddings from our brides, and we have so enjoyed sharing a selection of those photos with you throughout the year. Even though it's nearly impossible to narrow down our favorites, there are several weddings that definitely stand out in our minds this year.
As we share a selection of the top LWD weddings of 2013 (in no particular order), we want to thank ALL of our brides, our friends and family for making 2013 far and away our best year yet!
1. Elizabeth and Kevin's Vintage Affair
Elizabeth and Kevin's vintage-style summer wedding at the Highlands Ranch Mansion was a highlight of the year, from Elizabeth's choice of the bombshell Bardot gown by Matthew Christopher, to the little luxury details like individual cakes for each guest. With an all-star cast of Colorado wedding vendors, including Intricate Icings, Nicole Nichols Photography, and Chairished Vintage Rentals, theirs was a truly memorable affair.
2. Milena and Edgar's Brazilian Bash
One of our most special brides of the year, Milena flew to Denver from her home in Sao Paolo, Brazil just to find her Jenny Packham 'Azalea' gown at Little White Dress. We loved getting to know Milena and wish we could have taken her up on the invitation to attend her wedding in Brazil! Luckily, she sent us photos of their sparkling, art-filled wedding, and seeing them was like being transported to a warm Brazilian evening.
3. Abby and Kristofer's Vail Winter Wonderland
When we first saw photos of Abby and Kristofer's winter wonderland wedding, we immediately fell in love with the romance of their day. That picture of the couple hand-in-hand in the falling snow: be still my heart! Abby's choice of a glittering blush ball gown by Liancarlo seemed a little like destiny: that dress looks like it was made for a snowy mountain wedding.
4. Jordan and Austin's Classic Castle Pines Wedding
We were absolutely honored when Jordan Elway, daughter of Denver legend John Elway, came to Little White Dress to find her wedding gown, the delicate Sofia gown by Matthew Christopher. Unsurprisingly, her wedding at the Castle Pines Golf Club was the picture of perfection down to every detail, and unsurprisingly it was as down-to-earth and beautiful as she is.
5. Suzanne and Anthony's Colorado Mountain Beauty
Suzanne knew from the start that the Beauty gown by Claire Pettibone was the only gown for her colorful Crested Butte wedding. We can't imagine her very special gown looking any more perfect - for the bride AND for the setting. Seeing her wedding made us fall in love with Colorado and with weddings, all over again.
6. Megan and Carl's African Desert Adventure
Playing a small part in Megan and Carl's incredible story was truly one of the highlights of the year. After meeting and falling in love while they were both Peace Corps Volunteers in the African country of Namibia, Megan and Carl decided years later - and after their love story took them through several countries and states - that Namibia was the only place that felt right to start their marriage. Megan's Jenny Packham Eden gown fit the touching, intimate, adventure-filled occasion beautifully.
Cheers to ALL our incredible Little White Dress brides! We can't wait to see what 2014 brings!
