Sophia + Cole's Devil's Thumb Ranch Wedding
We’re thrilled to share Sophia + Cole’s Devil’s Thumb Ranch Wedding, as featured on Magnolia Rouge. Read on for more from the bride on her gown shopping experience with LWD!
LWD: Tell us a little about your gown shopping experience.
Sophia: One of the pieces when planning the wedding that I was most excited about was dress shopping. I had my mom, two sisters, aunt and cousin with me and had the best time. I wanted to be open to trying a lot of different styles of dresses because I had never tried on wedding dresses and didn’t know which style I would end up liking on me. I tried on so many dresses that day and they were all gorgeous, but there were two that stood out to me right away and just gave me a feeling that one of these dresses was my dress. They had similarities, but were very different at the same time.
LWD: How did you end up deciding on your Lela Rose wedding dress? What did you love most about your wedding dress?
Sophia: I was so torn between the two dresses. I set up a second appointment at LWD, this time only bringing my mom and dad because I knew they knew what I truly was looking for. I ended up choosing the Lela Rose dress after putting it on again at the second appointment. The second I looked in the mirror I knew that it was the one.
LWD: What was your favorite part of your wedding?
Sophia: It is hard to pick what my favorite part was, because the whole day was everything I could have dreamed. If I had to pick though, it would probably be walking down the aisle and seeing Cole for the first time. We did not do a first look, so the first time he saw me was walking down the aisle. It was the most exciting/best feeling.
LWD: Do you have any advice for brides going through the process of finding their wedding dress?
Sophia: Don’t stress about the process, although it can be overwhelming. When you find the dress for you, you will know. Also, be open to trying a couple different styles, because you never know what you will end up loving if you haven’t tried it on yourself.
LWD: Anything else you want to mention about your experience with LWD?
Sophia: I had nothing but positive experiences with LWD from beginning to end. When I was unsure of my choice, they were absolutely accommodating and did everything they could to make sure I felt completely confident with my decision.
