Bridal Fashion Week: Reem Acra Collection Viewing

The day after we attended the runway presentation of Reem Acra's new "Going Global" collection, we were invited to view the collection in detail at the Reem Acra showroom on New York's famed Fifth Avenue. There, we got to know more about Reem Acra as a person, as a company, and as an artist.

So we could get to know the collection in detail, we saw each gown individually and were able to feel the fabrics and see how each gown moved. As each model walked in wearing a different gown, we were often left speechless with how every gown was even more beautiful than the last.

As each gown was presented by Reem's team, we took notes on our favorites (there were a lot!). During the presentation we were alongside the Kleinfeld's team, who had been scheduled for their viewing at the same time as us.

Reem herself was present throughout the appointment, and we enjoyed seeing how hands-on she is with her gowns and with the process of showing them to us. That's not always the case with some designers! Below, Reem Acra is in the center, hanging a veil, next to LWD owner Cate on the right, examining a gown.

Reem's cute little dog, LouLou, was also there throughout the viewing! She came over to say hi and walked with the models when they were showing the gowns. What a sweet - and LUCKY! - little pup!

After seeing these extraordinary gowns up close, and meeting and talking with Reem and her team, we grew more and more excited about the possibility of bringing this world famous designer to Little White Dress Bridal Shop in Denver. Reem and her staff were relaxed yet professional, proud of their work but not pushy, and understanding of what brides want. These are all qualities we look for in our designers, and we felt comfortable knowing that they share the same values as us. The cherry on top was that these are truly some of the most beautiful gowns we have ever seen, and we know that Colorado brides will fall in love with them as much as we have.

With the decision made to work together and the details sorted out, we started picking out which gowns to carry at Little White Dress. As is the case with all the designers we carry, we chose a selection of gowns to have in our shop; if a bride wants to try on or purchase another gown from the designer, we are able to bring in any other gowns as requested by our brides. What that means is that Colorado brides will have access to Reem Acra's full collection through Little White Dress.

Before we left the showroom, Cate posed for a picture with Reem. It turns out that both Cate and Reem have a taste for sparkly silver shoes!

What an amazing experience it was to meet Ms. Acra and enjoy a very special collection viewing at her beautiful showroom! We are thrilled to bring this talented and gracious designer's gorgeous gowns to our brides!
