Our first Charlie Brear gowns have arrived at Little White Dress, and we are just as in love as when we picked them out at New York Bridal Fashion Week this past October! These wedding dresses are light, understated, and made from the most beautiful, high-quality materials. Little White Dress Bridal Shop in Denver was selected as one of the very first boutiques in the United States to carry the beautiful collection of Charlie Brear bridal gowns, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring these gorgeous designs to American brides for the first time.
Charlie Brear, a well-known London designer of bridal and ready-to-wear fashion, was kind enough to chat with us recently. Get to know her better and take a look at a few of the brand new Charlie Brear gowns, now at Little White Dress!
How long have you designing bridal gowns and how did you get started?
The idea for Charlie Brear started after I styled a huge commercial in Italy and we sourced 100 wedding dresses for one of the scenes. I wanted each girl to look unique and stylish so I began to source vintage gowns rather than new wedding dresses. After the shoot I created the London Showroom. Whilst selling vintage pieces I realised that there was a huge demand for era inspired dresses that looked and had the essence of vintage but were new and made in softer, more luxurious fabrics so I began designing my own collection.
What kind of bride is a Charlie Brear bride? Why does she choose one of your gowns over all the other wedding dresses available to brides these days?
The team at Charlie Brear all come from a fashion background and a private appointment service gives our customers the benefit of a professional eye, which would normally be reserved for a celebrity clientele. We only show dresses that we love and our motto is that each special dress finds its special owner! Brides are always excited to discover our collection of rare and exquisite pieces in a relaxed friendly showroom atmosphere.
Until very recently your bridal gowns have not been easily available to American brides. What has it been like to expand from the UK to other parts of the world, including the U.S.?
It's so exciting as it gives us even more chance to dress brides on their wedding day and welcome them into becoming a Charlie Brear bride. We like to keep a blog of all our brides which will hope will inspire more. www.charliebrearbride
