{LWD Bride} Cindy's Denver Winter Wedding
For so many brides who choose a Claire Pettibone gown, the dress is just "meant to be" and so often looks like it was made specifically with that woman in mind. It's one of the many reasons why we adore Claire Pettibone and her truly extraordinary gowns. The Viola gown is that kind of dress for bride Cindy - it is just her.
Cindy was kind enough to chat with us about her new husband, her wedding, and finding her gown. We are absolutely delighted to share photos from her December Denver wedding - and we're pretty sure they'll give you a warm winter glow, they're that pretty.

How did you and your husband meet? Where was your wedding?
My husband, Wilson, and I actually grew up next door to each other in Littleton! After I went off to college we lost touch for about 10 years, and then he found me on Facebook about a year and a half ago. We decided to meet for lunch… and then stayed for an 8 hour lunch! Seriously, we sat there for 8 hours. :) He is in the Air Force (stationed in North Dakota) and I was in Graduate school until recently out in California, so most of our relationship has been long distance. Our wedding was at the Eisenhower Chapel at Lowry, and the Reception was at the Soiled Dove Underground. It was on December 14th, on a perfect warm winter day.
How did you choose the Viola gown by Claire Pettibone?
I had come across the Viola dress on Pinterest originally, and then looked it up on Claire Pettibone's website. I was immediately drawn to the illusion back, the gorgeous lace details and the silhouette of the satin. It was actually the first dress I tried on at Little White Dress! I knew I wanted a Claire Pettibone, and even though I tried on quite a few of them, I kept coming back to Viola! It was just perfect with my hair and skin, and the vintage theme of our wedding. I am a botanical illustrator myself, so the floral lace details were exactly what I was looking for. I still can't get over what a work of art my dress is, Claire is truly a visionary! I am SO IN LOVE with my dress. I could not have been happier with Viola!
What was your experience like at Little White Dress Bridal Shop?
My experience at the Little White Dress was excellent! I came during the Claire Pettibone trunk show and had Talia as my wedding stylist. Talia was so helpful, super fun, encouraging and patient! She made me feel comfortable and at ease with trying on dresses. She let me take my time and re-try dresses; I never felt rushed or pushed. Talia took excellent measurements, and helped me to get a rush order, as my wedding was coming up quickly. My dress fit so well when it did come in, and I only had to have a few, very small alterations. Talia recommended seamstress Donna Savoy, and she did a lovely job with the subtle alterations. I felt like my Viola dress was "my" dress; exactly made for my body. I am so happy and incredibly satisfied with my experience at Little White Dress Bridal Shop! Thank you.
If you had to choose your favorite memory of your wedding day, what would it be?
I am still in shock about how well our wedding day went! So many great moments! But… My favorite moment of the wedding day was a surprise from my new husband at our reception at the Soiled Dove. Wilson surprised me by playing the guitar and singing me a song at our reception!!! I had no idea!!!! After we ate, he appeared with his guitar and had set up a spotlight and everything. He sang, "So In Love," by Cole Porter. It was romantic and sweet and unbelievable! We had candlelight set by deep purple and amber colored glass, and it was just the most lovely ambiance. His handsome face lit by candlelight, his strong voice, and his bravery to sing to me in front of all our guests all form a special memory I will never forget. I am so blessed with a very talented and loving husband!
Congratulations to newlyweds Cindy and Wilson! And many thanks to Cindy and Wilson's photographers, Emily Elizabeth Photo and Nicole Noel Photography!
